Most manufacturers categorize their tires according to a set of performance characteristics, performance ratings and internal tire construction. At the Car Boutique we match these to your expectations and driving style.

Light Trucks & Sport Utility Vehicles Tires:
Most light truck and sport utility vehicle tires are classified by how they will be used and by what type of environment they will be subjected to. At the Car Boutique we determine how you use your vehicle prior to recommending the correct tires.

• Performance: For sport trucks and sport utility vehicle owners who are looking for more responsive steering and improved handling. S,T,H or V Performance Rated.
  
  
• Highway: For drivers who travel excessively on two-lane and interstate highways and want maximum wear with a very quiet riding tire. P-Metric or LT-Metric Rated with a solid outer rib.
  
  
• All Terrain: A blend of a performance or highway tire with a good amount of off road traction. LT-Metric or Flotation Sizes with open sidewalls.
  
  
• Off Road: When you need maximum traction in mud and loose rock. Flotation Sizes with very aggressive open treads.

• Fitments: Let the sales personnel at the Car Boutique assist you in choosing the properly fitted wheel for your vehicle. We want your wheels to have the correct size, offset, bolt pattern, lug nut/bolt seat and to ensure they are hubcentric if necessary.
  
  
• Pit Stop Computer: Stop in and try the Pit Stop Computer in all of our locations to see how a variety of wheels look on your vehicle before making your purchase decision. With the Pit Stop program you also have the opportunity to see how a standard size wheel looks compared to a plus size wheel and what the effects on vehicle appearance are.
  
  
• Plus Sizing: Enhance your vehicles style and performance by plus sizing the tire & wheels on your vehicle. Plus sizing allows you to maintain the overall tire diameter while increasing the tread width, changing to a lower aspect ratio and increasing the wheel diameter. This results in quicker steering response, better lateral stability and improved appearance. If done correctly this will have a minimal effect on your vehicles speedometer, odometer and braking system.
  
  For example lets say you own a 1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe. This car comes equipped with a 185/65R14 tire on a 14" wheel.
  A change to a Plus 1 makes this a 195/55R15 on a 15" wheel, standard on the Civic SI.
  A change to a Plus 2 results in a 205/45/16 on a 16" wheel.
  A change to a Plus 3 would be a 215/35R17 on a 17" wheel. Since this size is not available a 205/40R17 is commonly used in this application.
